Established in 1990, throughout the year visitors can enjoy rich landscapes such as cherry and grape orchards, and wintry scenery. You can also purchase local specialty products and foods.
The park has the ruins of a castle within it, with moats, stone walls, and old cedars that provide an atmosphere befitting the novels and movies that used it as a stage. The park is home to 730 Sakura trees. Best time to visit: Mid-April to late April
This place is a traditional restaurant, once a symbol of the area, that has been reconstructed along with the rest of its surroundings. Houses have been rebuilt, where you can watch the dances of the Maiko in the Great Hall as you enjoy a meal, and where you can appreciate antique works of art.

A park on a plateau where you can easily spot the Yonezawa Castle area. You can also see around a thousand sakura trees in full bloom, also known as Eboshiyama's Thousand Sakuras. One of Japan's most famous sakura spots, with trees said to be around 1200 years old. During flowering season, the historical society will be there to guide you as they play the part of old tale heroes, and you can also enjoy sampling the regional dish, tama konyaku (konyaku balls). Reaching over 100 years old, the numerous sakura trees that surround the canals have branches that nearly touch its surface, creating a magical effect. As the petals fall, the water is dyed pink in flowers, making it even more beautiful. Best time to visit: Mid-April to late April
The view of the sakura trees lined up on the riverbank is a sight to behold, and is a frequent subject of photo and movie shoots. As you look at the river flow downstream, you can witness the contrast between the snow that remains in Mt. Chokai and the sakura trees. Best time to visit: Mid-April to late April
