The beauty of flowers representing each seasons, like an Iris or a Peony brings with them a beauty of their own. You can enjoy a "Teuchi" soba (hand-made soba) inside a traditional house or try making an earthenware just like the old hunters during their time.
156 Cherry blossom trees, all in full bloom are lined up along the street stretching for approximately 1.1 kilometers. The whole scenery of 156 Cherry blossom trees can be seen from the Towada City hall's lobby. Best time to visit: Mid-April to early May.
An island that is said to be god's dwelling place and treasured by the local people. It's a place known as the breeding grounds for Black-tailed gull and where you can see 30000 to 40000 birds flying up-close during spring.
With 6500 Sakura tress planted that spanned for 20 kilometers, the world's longest line of Sakura trees took the locals 10 years to create. You can drive or walk through the tunnel and enjoy the green and vibrant red colors. Best time to view: Late April to early May (May vary depending on the height and location)
The entrance to the world heritage site called "Shirakami Sanchi". A place where you can see a "Blue pond" and a Beech forest untouched by human society. It's charm and beauty will be made clear to you once you see it with your own eyes.
There is a tollway where you can go up Mt. Iwaki by car up to the 8th stop. And from the parking lot, you will be greeted by a beautiful panoramic scene and if you look below, you can see a sea of clouds. There is also a lift that goes up to the 9th stop. This will let you reach the summit easily.
The museum that creates and houses the famous giant Neputa for Aomori's festival. In addition to the tour of the Neputa's production and the chance to experience attaching paper to the framework, you can also make souvenirs like lanterns and such for yourself at the workshop.
The yearly festival held at Hirosaki park when the park's 2600 Sakura trees surrounding the Hirosaki castle, which is composed of 50 types of Sakura are in full bloom. And during this period, you can enjoy the beautiful, illuminated Sakura at night. Best time to view: Around late April
A beautiful lakeside scenery with approximately 1500 Sakura trees and 1800 Pine trees. There are train tracks that goes around the park and the scenery of Sakura enveloping you as you drive through the tunnel will surely be a lovely sight. Best time to visit: Mid-April to early May.
