Ani Ski Resort is on Mt. Moriyoshi, a 1,454m-high mountain known for "snow monsters" that was selected as one of the best 100 flower mountains. There is an incredible view from the 6-person gondola that runs 3.5km and takes 15 min. to reach the mountaintop. The spectacular 360° panoramic vista looks out onto the sparkling, snow-covered Ani mountains. You can also enjoy walking in the mountainous heights up to the 8th station.
The landscape surrounding Lake Taihei variously changes throughout the four seasons. The manmade lake measures 30km around and 58m deep. It is fed by 13 small and large mountain streams and is home to numerous fish. Visitors are encouraged to take the sightseeing boat around the lake.
Spanning approx. 4km, this gorge offers a series of natural wonders, such as Yoko Waterfall, Magari Waterfall, and Ana Waterfall, as well as extraordinary views such as Sankai Falls and Rokkai Falls. Komata Gorge has been designated a prefectural place of scenic beauty and a natural monument. It can be reached by means including the sightseeing boat for Lake Taihei.

The hot spring resort is a popular spot for both well-known and secret hot springs. There are seven hot spring baths dotted near the foot of Mt. Nyuto, each with its own water source. Enjoy going round all seven baths.
An almost circular lake with a circumference of approximately 20 km, Lake Tazawa is Japan’s deepest lake with a depth of 423.4 m. The azure blue color of the surface gives it a mystic atmosphere.
The vibrant autumn leaves surrounding the samurai houses stand out against the black wooden walls, creating a uniquely-Japanese atmosphere. The area is yearly lit up at night from early October until mid-November.
